The Inn at Honey Hill was built in 1885 by Captain John Hoyt in the mountains just outside of Asheville, North Carolina. The Mansion, originally named Engadine, has been restored and decorated to maintain its Victorian character and charm. Read more about the history of the Mansion!

In the afternoon, enjoy a selection of fine coffees, teas, cocoa, and cold drinks available in the second floor hospitality area. Indulge in a Honey Hill Sweet Treat, such as a fresh baked cookie, a slice of moist coffee cake or other delicious confection. Complimentary chilled bottled water and soda are always available.

The Captain's Room
Enjoy the mountain view from your windows in this spacious room. Beautifully decorated in tones of burgundy and gold with pale lemon grass yellow walls, the Captain's Room features a luxurious king size bed and two armoires. The claw foot tub with enclosed shower in the European style in-room bath adds to the charm of this room. Sit by the fire on the comfortable sofa with a good book or just relax and watch TV. The Howell Room
Named after the family who lived here for 44 years, this room features a gorgeous queen size high-rise four poster bed. Enjoy the warmth of the fireplace that still has the carved wood mantle with an inset mirror. In addition to the private bath that features an octagonal widow and stall corner shower, there is a water closet with original marble sink. This room has three large windows, a ceiling fan, and cable TV. Rate: $139-$179

The Mary Hoyt Room
Awaken to a mountain view in this corner room that was originally built for Mary Hoyt, the Captain's daughter. Snuggle on the love seat tucked in a cozy alcove in front of plantation-shuttered windows. The Mary Hoyt room features a Victorian style queen bed with a unique curved head and foot board with matching night tables, a ceiling fan, and fireplace. A large, private bath with a claw foot tub is perfect for soaking away the day. Rate: $149-189

The Vineyard View Room
Feel the warmth in this richly decorated corner room with plantation shutters and cozy sitting area. Look out the window and enjoy the mountain views where the Captain's vineyards once graced the property. The full private bath has a claw foot tub/shower and pedestal sink. There is also an adjoining water closet with the original marble sink. The Vineyard View room features a luxurious king size bed, cable TV, a fireplace, dressing table and ceiling fan. The Engadine Suite
Named after the mansion built by Captain John K. Hoyt, this very private and romantic two room suite is on the top floor of the inn. The bedroom features a king-size bed, antique armoire and beautiful desk. The living room has all the comforts of home: a beautiful fireplace, sofa, coffee table, end tables and cable TV. The spacious bathroom features a romantic two person whirlpool tub and pedestal sink. Rate: $199-$239

Reservation/Guarantee Policies for Honey Hill Inn:
- Deposits: Honey Hill is a unique, privately-owned property where every guest reservation is handled on an individual, personalized basis. Because of that, we require a deposit to guarantee a room. Your deposit insures that your accommodation will be available as confirmed.
- Up to four (4) nights stay – deposit equal to one (1) night's stay is required.
- Five (5) or more nights and special packages – a 25% deposit of the total is required.
- Group Reservations - 25% of the entire group reservation (all rooms/cabins for all nights) is required.
- For longer-term rentals of eight (8) nights or more, we require payment in full at the time the reservation is made. All cancellation and early check-out policies apply.
- Cancellations & Refunds:
- If you cancel at least fourteen (14) days prior to your scheduled arrival date, we will refund your deposit minus a $25 per room/cabin processing fee. Exceptions: For group reservations, whole house/property bookings, special packages and events, and reservations during the month of October, we require a thirty (30) day cancellation notice.
- If you cancel less than fourteen 14 days prior to your arrival date, or thirty (30) days prior for the exceptions noted above, we cannot refund your deposit. If you cancel within two (2) days of arrival, depart early, or arrive late, you will be responsible for the full amount of the reservation.
- Your deposit insures that your accommodations will be available as confirmed. It also insures us that the accommodations are sold as confirmed, meaning that we have taken your room or cabin “off the market” for the dates you requested. Therefore, please understand that if situations arise that require you to cancel within the abovementioned timeframes, we certainly sympathize, but we must adhere to our business policy of no refunds. Of course, if we are able to rebook your room or cabin for the dates you reserved, we will be happy to refund your deposit.
- Check-in and Check-out: Check-in is from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Please call us if you are delayed or expect to arrive later than 7:00 PM. Check-out is 11:00 AM.
- Smoking: For the safety and comfort of our guests, smoking is not permitted in the mansion. Smoking is permitted on the first floor porch of the mansion, only. Smoking anywhere in the mansion can result in a $250 cleaning fee, which will automatically be charged to your credit card.
- Damages: Your room will be inspected for damage after check-out. We reserve the right to seek payment for any expenses incurred for repairs.
- Children: Children over the age of thirteen (13) are welcome to stay in the mansion.
- Pets: Pets are not allowed in the mansion. We do have three pet-friendly cabins.
- Fireplaces: Each room has a gas fireplace which is operational from October 1 – March 31.
- Taxes: Rates and items for purchase are subject to North Carolina State Lodging Tax and any applicable Sales Taxes.
